This is a journal with prompts – questions and suggestions that repeat themselves for each therapy session – , and it was designed to support you during 50 therapy sessions, no matter how often they take place.

It will be ok if you use it once or twice a week, or once every 2 weeks – it follows your pace.

It is also ok if you switch therapist in the process, or if you have more than one therapist at the moment.

The journal will help you make the most of your therapy and self-reflection sessions by:

① Before the session: prompting you to write your appointment time and details in the “therapy sessions schedule”, and prompting you to think about the topics you want to discuss in each session;

② during & after the session: prompting you to write insights and takeaways from session (including possible actions & follow ups, challenges to keep in mind & wins to celebrate).

③ And, on the “Additional Notes section”, capturing other important things such as thoughts & feelings and trigger events (or you may use this space to continue to write about your Therapy Sessions, if you’d like to have more room for that).

④ We also included 12 key suggestions on how to get the most out of your online or telephonic therapy sessions.

– This journal provides note taking & reflection help for people in counselling. It is not a journal for people looking for “therapeutic journaling” unrelated to therapy sessions.

– Also, note that the questions provided will repeat for each of your therapy sessions; what makes them powerful is that each of your sessions will be different, and so your notes will be unique each time.
