A Note from the Author

Hi, I’m Theresa Jackson. I used to be a medical writer for doctors and corporations, but now I write for people.

There’s so much helpful information published every day by scientists and researchers, and most of it never gets used in a practical way by the public.

It’s often too stuffy or technical to be interesting or useful. That’s where I come in. I bring evidence-based guidance to people who need it, in a way that’s engaging to read.

One question shapes my work: why do research if it’s not going to help anyone?

Theresa’s Journey

In 2016, my journey to becoming an author started. I stopped writing for doctors and companies, quit my job in medical communications and started writing for people.

Theresa’s Books

My first book, Loss of a Parent, was to help people grieve for their parents. I lost my dad in 2007 and struggled to find my way back from it.

Next, with How to Handle a Narcissist and Living Strong, I kept writing evidence-based self-help books using my personal experience with narcissists along with cutting-edge psychology and wisdom shared by others.

Living Strong

Recovering from emotional abuse?

Start your healing journey with evidence-based tools.

This 30-day course is packed full of information and exercises, providing an alternative or supplement to expensive in-person therapies that you can do at home.

The central concept is built around “thrivership” over “survivorship,” as shown to be more effective by the latest research into abuse recovery.

You’ll learn CBT, resilience building and confidence boosting exercises, plus you’ll build connections to healthy sources of support.

Seeing ClearlySeeing Clearly

Seeing Clearly

Feel like you’re looking through a fog?

Gain clarity in your relationship and see what’s really going on.

Being in a turbulent relationship can rob us of our objectivity, and it can feel as though we’re wading through a fog, unsure of what’s happening, what to do about it and at loggerheads with our partner.

This logbook is simple and structured around the concept of cognitive behavioral therapy, so that you can record arguments and incidents without bias for review in calmer moments.

It can be very helpful to have a record to look back on if the stress of a turbulent relationship is causing memory distortions or denial.
