Women’s Aid update Live Chat opening hours

We provide lifesaving services to women and children experiencing abuse. But we have been forced to temporarily reduce the hours of our Live Chat Service because of an incredibly difficult funding climate which means we do not have the funds to keep it open as much.

From the 30th of December 2024, we will be operating our Live Chat between 8am-4pm on weekdays, and the service will be closed in the evenings and on weekends.

We understand and share in the disappointment you may feel and want to reassure you that our other services are running as normal, and we are working tirelessly to secure more funding and will keep you updated with any changes to our Live Chat Service.

If you are in immediate danger, please call 999 and if you can’t talk call 999-55.

If you want to talk to someone…

The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is available 24 hours a day on 0808 2000 247, and their live chat is online 10am-10pm Monday-Friday: https://www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk/chat-to-us-online/

You can join our Survivors’ Forum to share your experiences and support one another: https://survivorsforum.womensaid.org.uk/

You can email us on helpline@womensaid.org.uk and a Support Worker will respond to you within five working days.
